Rachel J. Kartin: Professional Profile

Rachel J. Kartin is an associate representing clients in a variety of litigation matters including trust and probate, business, and real estate.  Ms. Kartin was admitted to the California Bar in December 2023.

Ms. Kartin obtained her bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences and her master’s degree from the USC Rossier School of Education in May of 2019.  She earned her Juris Doctorate degree from the USC Gould School of Law in May of 2023.  As an undergraduate, Ms. Kartin won the Interdisciplinary Award at the USC Undergraduate Research Symposium for her work creating a database and virtual model of medieval Cypriote churches.

During law school Ms. Kartin externed in the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office in the Intellectual Property division.  Ms. Kartin also acquired experience as a member of USC Gould’s Intellectual Property Clinic, counseling documentary film makers, video game designers, and individuals about a variety of intellectual property and business issues.  As a member of the USC Gould Trademark Moot Court team during the 2021 – 2022 school year, Ms. Kartin co-wrote an appellate brief and argued before a panel of Trademark Court justices.  Her team placed second at the regional competition and advanced to the national round.
